How to get featured
If you want to get featured, ensure your software entry on the Helmholtz RSD is complete and meets the minimum requirements, such as a the logo or a detailed description. Get more info about the requirements by following the “Become a Spotlight” button on our Spotlights page:
Once your entry is ready, reach out to the Helmholtz RSD team via support@hifis.net to start the application process. We will come back to you with further details.
Software Heritage Integration
Software Heritage is the largest archive of software source code, ensuring that your code is preserved for future reference and reuse. If you added your research software to Software Heritage, you can now reference it in helmholtz.software as well.
If you host your code on Helmholtz Codebase, your code is already preserved in Software Heritage (see this Blog post from 18. Oct. 2023). To reference it in the Helmholtz RSD, have a look at Step 3 of the Software Heritage documentation “How to archive and reference your code”.
API Access Token: automate and streamline your workflow
The new API access token feature allows you to automate interactions with the Helmholtz RSD. Integrating the management of your software or project entries into an automated workflow, e.g. CI/CD pipelines, is becoming possible now.
Generate your API token in the user settings and use it to authenticate requests to the /api/v2 endpoint. Check out the REST API documentation for examples.
